About TFNB East Waco
When TFNB East Waco opened its doors in 2020, it was the first bank to do so in 100 years. According to Baylor University’s Department of History, the last bank in East Waco was The Texas Guarantee Bank and Trust Company. It opened on Elm Avenue in 1913, but closed just a few years later. Today, a previously underserved area of Waco now has close access to a full-service community bank.
Our East Waco bank is located at the corner of the historic Elm Avenue and Peach Street. Our front doors are just steps away from East Waco’s buzziest new retail and restaurant spots like Lula Jane’s, Revival Eastside Eatery and OTB Cyclery, as well as the historic Paul Quinn campus.

"Tree of Life" Mural
A visit to our East Waco location isn’t complete without stopping to admire the “Tree of Life” mural. A creative collaboration between TFNB, Creative Waco, Waco ISD, and local Waco artists Cade Kegerreis and Vincent Thomas, this larger than life mural is hard to miss on our building’s west side. Through colorful storytelling, it celebrates East Waco’s Black history and culture.
